Application Process:

  • All application materials must be received by 8:00 a.m. of the posted deadline date.
  • If required, attach a copy of your unofficial transcripts, degree, and license to the electronic application. Failure to attach required documents can result in the rejection of your application.
  • The examination process is comprised of one or any combination of the following scored on a job-related basis.: 
    1. A “paper screening” of the applicant’s training, background, and experience
    2. Evaluation of responses on a supplemental application
    3. Written examination
    4. Oral examination
    5. Performance examination
    6. Technical oral examination   
  • Only the most highly qualified candidates will be invited to continue in the examination process.  Successful candidates who pass all parts of the examination process will be placed on the eligibility list in order of their relative merit as determined by these competitive examinations.
