Notice of Request for Proposals

 Fresh Pizza (Delivery & Ready to Serve) RFP No. 01-21-22

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Inglewood Unified School District is accepting proposals for Fresh Pizza (Delivery and Ready to Serve), in accordance with specifications, in the office of the Food Services Department, 401 South Inglewood Avenue, Inglewood, CA 90301, no later than 10:00 a.m. SHARP, Monday, July 12, 2021. No submittals will be accepted after 10:00 a.m. on July 12, 2021.

 

Return Proposal Form, Non-Collusion Affidavit, and required certification forms in a sealed envelope with the words “RFP 01-21-22 – Fresh Pizza (Delivery and Ready to Serve)” on the outside. Notice of Inviting Bids
The Inglewood Unified School District (IUSD) is soliciting Bids for the

Centinela and Kelso Elementary School Painting Project - Bid No. B20/21-072

DESCRIPTION OF WORK: 

The work consists of preparation and exterior painting of Kelso and Centinela Elementary Schools.  Centinela consists of 7 buildings and multiple exterior canopies. Kelso has 13 buildings and some canopies.  The work will also include minor reparations and sealing of exterior vents, downspouts, plaster patch, sill repair, minor concrete spalling repair, and building penetration sealing.  Award of contract may go to a single bidder or one for each site based on bid results.

at or before 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 17, 2021, for furnishing all labor, materials, services, and equipment to complete the Work described below in accordance with the bidding documents.  During this time bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.  Bids received after this time will be returned unopened.  No other agent is authorized to receive bids.  The Bidding Documents, including the Bid Form, and specifications, are available for a fee at https://wwww.iusdplanroom.com/ or on the District’s website at no cost at https://inglewoodusd.com/.  The successful bidder must possess a valid and active Class B license at the time of bid and throughout the duration of this Contract.

The Contract Time is 70 days.

MANDATORY PRE-BID JOB WALK:

A mandatory Pre-Bid Job Walk will be conducted on Tuesday, June 1, 2021, beginning promptly at 10:00 a.m.  Only bidders who participate in the Job Walk will be allowed to bid on the project as prime contractors. Participants shall meet at Kelso Elementary School 809 E. Kelso St. Inglewood, CA  90301 and moving on to Centinela Elementary School, 1123 N. Please note that a correction to the location of the start of the job walk has been made.  The job walk will start at Kelso Elementary School, 809 E. Kelso St. Inglewood, CA  90301.  If you arrive at Centinela Elementary School by 10:00 a.m., please sign in and you will be given a map directing you to Kelso Elementary School.

 

Online Question Deadline:  June 7, 2021, at 5:00 p.m.

The work described in the contract is a public work subject to section 1771 of the California Labor Code.

No contractor or subcontractor, regardless of tier, may be listed on a Bid for, or engage in the performance of, any portion of this project, unless registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 and 1771.1.

This project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the Department of Industrial Relations.

Estimated cost for both sites:  $500,000

(Inglewood, CA) - The County Administrator of the Inglewood Unified School District announces the resignations of Dionne Young-Faulk, Trustee Area 1, effective December 7, 2020, and D’Artagnan Scorza, Trustee Area 5, effective December 10, 2020, from their respective seats created two vacant positions on the District’s Board of Education.
 
On January 27, 2021, the County Administrator made provisional appointments to the vacant seats in keeping with Education Code 5090 et seq. and Board Bylaw 9223.  Ms. Naomi S. Hammonds was appointed to the vacant seat for Trustee Area 1 and Mr. Ernesto Castillo was appointed to the vacant seat for Trustee Area 5.  Pursuant to the respective Codes and Bylaw, unless petitions calling for special elections for either or both appointments containing a sufficient number of signatures are filed with the Los Angeles County Superintendent of Schools within 30 days of the date of the provisional appointments, both seats shall become effective appointments. Ms. Hammonds and Mr. Castillo will serve as members of the Board of Education for the remainder of the vacated term through the next regularly scheduled election in November 2022.
