VERY IMPORTANT

     
  Eligible employees are required to complete an online enrollment this year!  
     
 
  • All eligible employees must complete an online enrollment this year through the new EASE portal.  

    • Classified employees must complete an online enrollment to participate in dental or group life.

  • Eligible employees who waived coverage for the current plan year (2022/2023) are required to complete a new waiver with proof of coverage in the EASE portal for the upcoming 2023/2024 plan year.

    • Waivers do not automatically rollover into the upcoming plan year.  

  • Eligible certificated, confidential, and management employees who fail to enroll or waive coverage during Open Enrollment will be auto enrolled into the lowest cost medical plan only for single coverage (Anthem Blue Cross - Vivity HMO 30).  They will not be auto-enrolled in dental, vision, or life.

 

Eligible certificated, confidential, and management employees who fail to enroll or waive coverage during Open Enrollment will be auto enrolled in the lowest cost medical insurance plan (Blue Cross Vivity HMO 30, Single Coverage), if they fail to enroll or waive coverage by September 13, 2023. 

 

 There will be no auto enrollments for dental, vision, or group life benefits.

 

  • This is the only Open Enrollment period for the 2023/2024 benefits plan year.  Following the conclusion of Open Enrollment on September 13, 2023, you may only make changes to your medical, dental, or vision benefits if you experience a qualifying event (e.g. birth, adoption, marriage, divorce, etc.).
   

Effective September 13, 2023—No further changes can be made for the upcoming plan year unless you experience a qualifying change in family status as defined by the IRS. 

 

 
 ENROLLMENT PROCESS

The enrollment process is entirely online utilizing the new EASE portal. The Benefits Guide and Online Enrollment Instructions will assist you with your enrollment. If you have questions or need assistance making changes, we are here to help! 

  • You may schedule a virtual, in-person, or telephonic appointment with our benefits team to assist you with open enrollment. 

  • We will also be hosting three Benefits Assistance Sessions to answer questions and assist employees with online enrollment at the District Office (Bungalow 5) from 11:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. as follows:

    • Thursday, August 31, 2023

    • Wednesday, September 6, 2023 

    • Thursday, September 12, 2023
