State Administrator's Message
At the Inglewood Unified School District, we focus on collaboration, excellence, and wellness to ensure our students are prepared to thrive in the classroom and beyond.
Inglewood Unified is home to twelve elementary and six secondary schools. Six of our primary schools have been designated as California Distinguished Schools and one has earned the national Blue Ribbon school distinction. In the fall of 2019, four of our elementary schools will expand and ultimately become K-8 schools. These expanded campuses will better serve our community by offering a more intensive curriculum and ongoing support in one place.
Over the past year, we have continued to develop scholars through our STEAM and robotics programs that are empowering our students to achieve success in a changing world. Our high school graduates continue to raise the bar of achievement for all students by earning acceptance to prestigious institutions like the California Institute of Technology and the University of Southern California.
Our partnerships support us in achieving our mission to nurture, educate, and graduate students who are self-responsible and self-disciplined. We are thankful to receive support from our many partners, including the Los Angeles Rams and the Los Angeles Chargers, who have donated playgrounds and school supplies for our students. We continue to work hand-in-hand with the Los Angeles County Office of Education and the California Collaborative for Educational Excellence to address our most pressing priorities as we strive for excellence for our students, staff, and educational community.
Together we can dream, believe, and achieve.
