Our first episode of the school year welcomes Dr. Kristopher Vegas, IUSD’s new Executive Director of Special Education, in conversation with Deputy Superintendent Dr. Bernadette Lucas and County Administrator Dr. James Morris. IUSD parent Maritza Alvarez also joins special education leaders Ms. Giorgia Diomedes and Mr. Irvin Shannon for an honest discussion about the IEP process, what families can expect this year, and how schools and families can work together so every IUSD student can thrive.
