Student COVID-19 Testing Program
Students are not currently required to participate in our weekly onsite COVID-19 testing program; however, it is strongly encouraged.  Our current testing provider, GenStar Labs, is being transitioned out and will no longer be providing services to the District effective November 5, 2021.  We are transitioning these services to Vital Healthcare, who began providing COVID-19 testing for athletics and walk-up/drive through clinics for the District in March 2021. We understand that this change has an impact on those already testing with GenStar and we truly apologize for this inconvenience, as we will need participants to register with Vital Healthcare.  Once registration is complete, Parents/Guardians may log back in at any time to view test results.

    • This is a free testing program and participants will not be charged
    • Health insurance information will not be collected
    • Participants only need to register once to participate in ongoing weekly testing
                          •

Students will continue to be tested during the school day once per week, but now the test results will be available via the registration portal by the end of the same day.  The test being utilized is an EUA COVID-19 Rapid Antigen test. The sample is primarily collected via a nasal swab by a clinical staff member and results are available after 10-15 minutes (Rapid Antigen Test). Please note that this is not what is referred to as the nasopharyngeal test in which a thin swab goes deep inside the nose. This test is a swab that only goes as far up as the middle of the nose, which should cause no discomfort.  If an Antigen test provides a positive test result, it will be confirmed immediately with a PCR test administered by the Vital Healthcare team.  PCR test results will be accessible through the online portal within 24 to 48 hours.

IMPORTANT

The COVID-19 Testing Registration must completed by a Parent/Guardian, if the student is under age 18
