Open Enrollment August 19, 2019 - August 30, 2019

Plan Year Effective October 1, 2019

 

Welcome to Inglewood Unified School District’s 2019 Employee Benefits Open Enrollment, which begins August 19, 2019 and runs through August 30, 2019 !  During this time period, all eligible employees will be required to log into our new Online Employee Benefits Portal  (PlanSource) to select their coverage for the upcoming plan year effective October 1, 2019.
   

Effective August 31, 2019—No further changes can be made for the upcoming plan year unless you experience a qualifying change in family status as defined by the IRS

 

 

All eligible employees must complete the online enrollment process during the Open Enrollment period.  You can make changes to your plan selections and add or remove dependents from your coverage through the final day— Friday, August 30, 2019

 

Employees who fail to enroll in a District offered medical insurance plan will be automatically enrolled in the lowest cost insurance plan

for single coverage (Blue Cross Vivity HMO 30/40)

SUMMARY OF BENEFITS CHANGES

ONLINE ENROLLMENT :   IUSD will be utilizing a new Online Employee Benefits Portal
( PlanSource ).
  • Login instructions will be posted on this web page and distributed at sites on August 19, 2019 
  • All plan selections must be made through the Online Employee Benefits Portal ( PlanSource )
  • If you need assistance enrolling online, please visit us at District Office, Bungalow 7 during any Open Enrollment Event (see EVENTS)

MEDICAL BENEFITS Kaiser Two HMO Plans
                                      Anthem Blue Cross  Three HMO Plans & Two PPO Plans
  • No premium cost for Blue Cross HMO plans for full-time eligible employees
  • Larger network of physicians and providers through Anthem Blue Cross than our current comparable plans
     
DENTAL/VISION Delta Dental PPO / VSP PPO
  • Improved dental coverage at 100% versus current 70-100% tiered plan
  • Increased allowance for contacts $140 versus current $120
 
GROUP LIFE :  Mutual of Omaha – Life Insurance coverage levels consistent with current plan
  • No medical questionnaire to purchase up to $150K additional coverage (this year only)
  • Individual rates for the purchase of additional coverage will be calculated through the portal
VOLUNTARY BENEFITS :   Trustmark
  • Employees may purchase the following individual voluntary income protection policies:
    • Short Term Disability
    • Accident
    • Critical Illness with Cancer
    • Universal Life with Long-Term Care
  • To enroll in a Trustmark plan, you must utilize a dedicated call center during Open Enrollment
 
FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNTS (FSA) Ameriflex
  • Employees may enroll in Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), which utilize pre-tax income to save money for our employees:
    • Medical FSA
    • Dependent Care FSA
    • Commuter Reimbursement Account
  • Employees may enroll in an Ameriflex plan via the Online Employee Benefits Portal (PlanSource) during Open Enrollment
  • Ameriflex plans run on a calendar year, so your pre-tax elections will not be applied until January 2020 accrual period
